A BarCamp is a user-generated, open, and participatory conference – sometimes also called „unconference“ where the participants instead of the organizers, create the agenda at the day of the event. Usually this is done by pitching and voting on session ideas right at the start.
It’s a collaborative workshop format focused on sharing knowledge, networking, and discussion, fostering interaction over passive listening.
Barcamps were often centered around tech, web, or specific industry topics in the beginning but nowadays you can find them about any theme or subject.
